The VHM Global Spiritual Advisory Council is envisioned as an international fellowship of distinguished Swamis, Swaminis and spiritual teachers whose lives, teachings, spiritual scholarship, humanitarian service and messages of harmony have touched communities across India and the world.
Inspired by the timeless principle “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — The World Is One Family,” VHM seeks to create a respectful global platform for spiritual dialogue, cultural understanding, service to humanity and the sharing of wisdom.
The Council is intended to bring together spiritual voices from different traditions, institutions, countries and regions, while respecting the independence, teachings and institutional affiliations of every spiritual leader.
VHM does not claim that any person named on the Recommended Global Spiritual Voices list is a VHM office-bearer, Trustee Member, Supporter or Representative unless that person has formally accepted an invitation from VHM.
1. INVITED SPIRITUAL LEADERS
VHM may formally invite distinguished Swamis, Swaminis and spiritual teachers to consider association with the Council.
2. NOMINATED SPIRITUAL LEADERS
A spiritual leader may be nominated by a VHM Trustee, an existing Council member, a recognized spiritual institution, or another eligible person.
3. VHM-RECOMMENDED SPIRITUAL VOICES
VHM may identify spiritual leaders whose publicly documented teachings, spiritual activities, humanitarian service, educational work or social initiatives are considered relevant to the Council's vision.
4. CONFIRMED ADVISORY COUNCIL MEMBERS
Only after the individual has been formally approached and has expressly accepted the invitation will the person be displayed as:
